Inspiro is a registered NDIS provider, which means we meet the requirements set by the NDIA for experience, qualifications, approvals, capacity to provide the approved supports, and quality standards.
We currently provide adult NDIS Participants with ‘Capacity Building Supports’ including:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Exercise Physiology
- Podiatry
- Psychology
- Counselling
- Speech Therapy
- Maintenance Therapy
Occupational Therapy to help Participants do everyday activities safely and independently.
Occupational Therapy services include:
- Assessment of a Participant’s home, school or work environment to determine the building modifications (bathroom hand rails), equipment (eg. wheelchair), aids (eg. toilet commode), support services and training they need.
- Prescribing and purchasing the equipment, aids, support services and training.
- Develop a therapy program to increase a Participant’s skills for independence.
- Training a Participant to use their equipment and aids properly.
- Training a Participant’s carer and informal supports (eg. family members) to use equipment and aids and assist Participants.
- Doing assessments and reviews of a Participant’s progress.
Physiotherapy
To help Participants maximise their movement and function. Physiotherapists also play an important role in managing impairments and pain associated with disability
Podiatry
To help Participants manage lower leg or foot problems and to manage a range of potential foot issues.
Psychology and Counselling
To help Participants manage personal problems such as relationships, grief, anxiety and depression.
Speech Therapy
To help Participants overcome communication barriers. Our speech pathologists can also:
- Assess and educate Participants and their carers in augmentative and alternative communication.
- Assess and advise about eating and swallowing difficulties.
Exercise Physiology
To design exercise programmes to help participants with:
- Progressive neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, and Motor Neurone Disease.
- Muscular dystrophy
- Cerebral Palsy
- Paraplegia
- Stroke, traumatic or acquired brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Mental health – PTSD, Depression
- Pain management, fibromyalgia, arthritis/RA
- Autism, Aspergers, Developmental delay
- Chronic fatigue syndrome
Dietetics
To help Participants manage their diet and nutrition for health and well-being due to the impact of their disability. Dietetics services include:
- Educating Participants about diet and nutrition.
- Developing nutrition and meal plans for Participants.
- Educating and training Participants’ carers, therapy assistants and informal supports (eg. family members) on nutrition, meal planning and preparation.
Maintenance Therapy
Maintenance therapy involves our clinicians developing a therapy program for a participant, and training carers, therapy assistants and informal supports (eg. family members) as part of the participant’s usual or on-going care.
