Reaching out

Whether you are reaching out yourself or helping someone else to reach out, asking for help is often a brave and difficult first step. There are many reasons that people seek out therapy. I work to create a safe and supportive environment for all of my clients, so that they may begin to explore and understand themselves, their feelings, and their way of relating to others.

Why Louisa is passionate about her clients
Because I care about my clients, I have dedicated myself to working with people in navigating life changes and transitions. We are all unique so discovery of uniquely personal strengths is paramount.
If you feel you have symptoms of depression, anxiety, loss and grief, post-natal depression, trauma or are experiencing anger, stress or low self-esteem I can help you. If you are experiencing family or relationship conflict and feel your family could benefit from family counselling I can also help you.
Sometimes when caring for others we can overlook our own needs; I can also help caregivers manage care for loved ones while also caring for themselves.

We asked Louisa about what makes her approach different to other counsellors
My approach values the unique needs of each client, and I'll work with you to establish goals that are meaningful and attainable. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck after having tried other ways of coping that just aren't working.
My therapy style incorporates a person-centred approach involving Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation and Family Therapy.
Therapy is a collaborative process and a strong therapeutic relationship enables change to happen. I tailor my approach to meet each of my clients' unique needs.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation and Family Therapy.

You’re strong
Getting help shows great strength. Together we'll chart a path forward that can help make you feel whole again and meet your goals. I look forward to talking with you!
