The most common foot ailments treated by podiatrists are flat feet and nail problems
Flat feet: Flat feet are often connected with too much pronation and can be the cause of various injuries.
Over-pronation happens when feet pronate to an excessive degree while standing, walking or running. Flat feet are less able to absorb shock and this reduced shock-absorption usually results in increased stress on the feet, ankles and knees.
Podiatrist Leigh Birchley of the Australian Podiatry Association says “a kid at 14 may be told they’ll grow out of flat feet but they often end up with bunions, plantar fasciitis or knee issues.”
Flat feet can cause back pain
Flat feet are a common condition for women that can frequently cause undiagnosed back pain. A long term study published in the journal of Rheumatology found that women who have flat feet are 50 percent more likely to have pain in their lower back.

An ingrown toenail is a common disorder that usually effects the outer edges of the nail of the big toe but can sometimes effect other toes. The most common symptoms are localised pain, redness, and swelling at the edges of your toenail.
Podiatrists do small surgeries for in-grown toenails and remove warts with cryogenic freezing, dry needling or chemically,
