Receptionist -  Permanent Part time position


Inspiro is a passionate not-for-profit community organisation committed to providing quality primary health and dental care services to the people of the Yarra Ranges.

We have a vacancy for a permanent part-time receptionist, predominantly based at Belgrave but with flexibility to work across different sites.  The position is 3 days per week on Wed, Thurs and Fri 8 hours per day between the hours of 8.15am and 5.15pm.  

You will have demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Frontline customer service and reception
  • Liaison with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills which includes strong customer service skills.
  • A can-do attitude
  • Experience in a medical/dental reception role would be advantageous

Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Maternity leave position


Inspiro is a not-for-profit community health service located in Melbourne’s outer east, providing quality primary health, dental and counselling services.  We embrace differences in health needs, and work to provide individuals and communities the care necessary to lead healthier lives. 

We currently have a full-time position available for a 12-month maternity leave role for a Grade 2 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.

As the successful applicant, you will provide a range of individual and group programs to preschool aged children with mild to moderate learning and developmental difficulties. In partnership with their families, you will aim to help children realise their academic and social potential and to positively participate in family and community life. Experience in working with children with a disability and/or in an Early Intervention program is preferable.  You will also participate in the development of the service as it expands into new markets.

Psychologist/Social Worker – Youth & Family Counselling 



We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic clinician to join our Youth and Family Counselling team. This position will build relationships with external referral services and seek new opportunities to engage with young people in the Outer East. 

Inspiro is a not-for-profit community health service located in Melbourne’s outer east, providing quality primary health, dental and counselling services. We embrace differences in health needs, and work to provide individuals and communities the care necessary to lead healthier lives. 

We have a 12 months full-time vacancy for a suitably qualified Psychologist/Mental Health Accredited Social Worker/Allied Health clinician. The successful candidate will have three key components to their role. They will: 

  • Develop and implement strategies that will facilitate the youth and family counselling team’s broader engagement and work with young people 12-25 years old and their families, who have a range of needs, in a variety of settings. The successful applicant will leverage existing programs and services and work with the team to develop new and/or increased services and programs as are required.
  • Provide one-to-one counselling/psychology services for young people and their families experiencing a range of issues.
  • To contribute to counselling team through peer consultation.


To be successful in the role, you must be a registered Psychologist with AHPRA or Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, with an ability to engage and communicate with young people with a sound knowledge of issues effecting young people.

Withdrawal Nurse - Medication Support Service


Inspiro is a not-for-profit, non-government community health service located in Melbourne’s outer east, committed to providing quality primary health, dental and counselling services to the people of the Yarra Ranges. We have a vacancy for fixed-term part-time time (0.6eft) Withdrawal Nurse - Medication Support Service until 30 June 2019. Medication Support Service

The Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (EMPHN) has been funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health to commission and coordinate localised responses to AOD issues in the EMPHN catchment. Connect4Health, with Inspiro as a participating agency, will address two key priority areas in the catchment: reducing avoidable hospital admissions relating to AOD use and reducing avoidable deaths due to AOD overdoses. 

To achieve these goals, Connect4Health has developed a new AOD service to address problematic pharmaceutical misuse in the community: The Medication Support Service (MSS). This program is a collaboration between Connect4Health Alcohol and Drug Services in partnership with Inspiro, with AccessHC as the lead agency.

The MSS will provide specialist assessment, therapeutic counselling, medical support and care co-ordination for individuals and families affected by pharmaceutical dependence and misuse across the EMPHN catchment. The Medication Support Service (MSS) Withdrawal Nurse will sit in the broader Alcohol and Other Drug service at Inspiro, supported by the Clinical Lead and Manager.

Consumer Advisory Group - 
Consumer Representatives


This is an exciting opportunity for consumers that live in the Yarra Ranges to be involved as a Consumer Representative on Inspiro’s Consumer Advisory Group.

Inspiro recognises the importance and benefits of consumer participation within the organisation. The Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) is an operational committee that will advise Inspiro on consumer, carer and community views so they are reflected in service delivery, planning and policy development. 


The role will include:

  • Participating in Inspiro’s strategic planning process
  • Bringing a consumer/carer perspective to discussion and decision making
  • Reviewing the Consumer Participation Plan and activities at each meeting

Training will be provided to the consumers to enable them to fulfil their role and this will be funded entirely by Inspiro. You will be expected to attend and participate in quarterly meetings.
