If you haven't heard of us before, Inspiro is a community health centre based in Lilydale, Belgrave and Healesville. Our head office is located in Lilydale. We provide quality allied health, counselling, dental and health promotion services to the Yarra Ranges Community.
Senior Health Promotion Officer
We have a vacancy for a full time permanent Senior Health Promotion Officer. Working with the Primary Care Manager and a committed dedicated health promotion team, you will assist with the delivery and facilitation of health promotion activities. You will also assist with the development of plans and reports and the application of best practice principles in the development of new health promotion initiatives.
You will have tertiary or post graduate qualification in Health Promotion or Public Health or related discipline and extensive experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of HP initiatives.
Inspiro’s Integrated Health Promotion (IHP) Plan 2017 - 2021 provides strategic direction to the organisation, our partners and the community related to our priorities areas. The current IHP plan focuses on the following priority areas:
- Healthy Active Living (including Food and Nutrition, Physical Activity and Safer Behaviours).
- Cultural Safety and Inclusion (including Prevention of Violence against Women and Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing).

Our dynamic Dental team has an exciting opportunity available for a permanent part-time Dentist initially working 2 to 3 days per week, providing general and emergency dental care to eligible public clients (adults and children) of the Shire of Yarra Ranges.
The position is based out of a well-equipped one chair surgery in Belgrave and you may be required to work from the Lilydale site on occasions. Opportunities also exist to provide part private practise work as part of the role, subject to negotiation. This position will suit an experienced dentist who can work autonomously and who has worked both in the Public and Private sectors. Hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm. Days of work are to be negotiated and may include half a day on alternate Saturdays at Lilydale.

We have a volunteer vacancy for a dedicated, committed individual to assist with the Interlink Program. The Interlink Program provides a structured activity program for adults with an Intellectual disability. The aim of the program is to provide a social atmosphere in which clients can interact, develop their individual physical, emotional, social and intellectual potential and further their independence. Each term has a theme around which activities are structured.
You will be involved with :
- Assist in the setting up of the program.
- Observe the clients for progress and safety and report any concerns to staff member.
- Assist with delivery of program under the direction of the staff members.
- Encourage clients to be independent but be willing to assist them when required.
- Assist with the packing up after the program.
- Assist staff on outings with getting around safely and getting in and out of the bus or cars
- Assist in being a driver on outings
To qualify for the role, you will need the following :
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A willingness to work under the direction of a member of staff.
- Patience and good verbal communication skills
- The ability to work with and be accepting of a broad range of people
- Some group work experience and skills would be advantageous
- Full driver’s licence
- Current volunteer WWC check
You will be required once a week on a Wednesday from 10 am to 3 pm. Our building is located at 1616 – 1622 Burwood Highway, Belgrave
