Senior Dental Assistant

This exceptional and highly regarded Senior Dental Assistant position is an opportunity to provide leadership, professional support and management to Inspiro’s Dental Assistants. Your leadership will be focussed on inspiring as many people as you can to identify and achieve their own health goals though high-quality care and service delivery
 
With leadership responsibility for the sterilisation systems and processes, stores and equipment maintenance as part of the dental team you will be responsible for dental assistant supervision and support to ensure the team works in accordance with National and best practise standards.
 
In a diverse and key role you will be responsible for:
 
Clinical chair-side assistance
Ensure facilities and dental equipment within the clinic are of a high standard
rostering, ordering of supplies and infection control.
Understand and ensure public dental policies, practices and guidelines are adhered to within the clinic with reference to the National Standards.
An overall awareness of the goals and values of Inspiro and public dental philosophy.
Mentor and provide leadership, professional support and management of Inspiro’s Dental Assistants and trainees
Develop a strong team led and supportive workplace that supports and encourages staff and service development.
Acting as a member of the Inspiro Leadership Team:
 
Required qualifications, knowledge and experience:
 
Dental Assistant Certificate III
Evidence of recent practice, skills and training in infection control procedures that meet National Infection Control standards.
Advanced level of clinical competence in all applications and procedures.
Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of multi – disciplined clinical teams
Well-developed interpersonal skills to influence and inspire staff and other stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to support a team approach with a positive workplace culture 
Possession of a current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Working with Children Check valid for employment purposes.
Demonstrated high level of initiative and ability to undertake delegated or assigned tasks
Proven ability to be organised, efficient and productive.
Sound computer skills with VHIMS, TrakCare and Titanium and advantage
 
Desirable
 
Knowledge of a second language and culture.
Understanding of DHSV policies and practices.

Position description (Senior Dental Assistant)


Senior dentist / Dental manager

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Dentist / Dental Manager to lead Inspiro’s modern, progressive and state of the art dental practice. You will lead the Lilydale 6 chair clinic and the development of new outreach services in Belgrave and Healesville.

With a positive, accountable and inclusive leadership style the senior dentist/dental manager will support the committed team to continually improve services for our community.  Providing a chairside service and supervision of the dental team you will have strong interpersonal and time management skills focused on high quality and safe patient care.
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following Key Selection Criteria:
 

  • Registered as a dentist with AHPRA.
  • Ionizing Radiation Apparatus Operating License in Victoria.
  • Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of multi – disciplined clinical teams striving for service integration and clinical excellence.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to influence and inspire staff and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high level of clinical competence.
  • A contemporary understanding of dental clinical practice preferably in a community setting with a working knowledge of current clinical governance and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to support a team approach with a positive workplace culture.
  • Qualification in Management, public health, business or related field, or a post graduate dental qualification would be well regarded.
  • Current Working with Children’s Check valid for employment purposes.

Position description (Senior dentist / Dental manager)


Volunteer role (current student or graduate) - Marketing

Inspiro is a not-for-profit community health service in Melbourne’s outer east.  Our marketing and communications team has a part time role assisting the marketing and communications team, working at our Lilydale site.
To be successful in the role, experience with social media, a marketing degree or current study in a relevant university course would be helpful. This position could assist a university graduate with no experience to gain a full-time role or a current university student to gain relevant industry experience.

Alcohol and drug counsellor

Inspiro is a not-for-profit community health service in Melbourne’s outer east.  Our dynamic multi-disciplinary Primary Care team has a fixed-term full-time AOD counsellor position, until 30 June 2018, working across our sites at Lilydale, Healesville and Tecoma.

To be successful in the role, you must have extensive experience in the provision of counselling services with AOD clients with complex needs and a demonstrated understanding of the current Australian alcohol and drug treatment philosophy of harm minimisation.  Diploma of AOD preferred, but minimum requirement is Certificate IV in AOD working towards Diploma qualification

Reception / Administration Officer

Receptionist -  Full time position
Inspiro is a not-for-profit, non-government community health service in Melbourne’s outer east. Our Administration team has a vacancy for a full-time fixed-term (until Aug 2018) receptionist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills including strong Customer Service skills.
 
The position will be based at either our Lilydale, Tecoma or Healesville sites.  The successful candidate must be available to work between the hours of 8.15am and 5.15pm Monday to Friday, as well as Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings on a rostered basis and must be able to work during school holidays. Reception experience is required.  Experience in a medical/dental reception role would be advantageous.
